Notifications
The Notifications tab lets you configure how CeresFlows sends alerts about important system events. It uses a three-layer architecture: Providers (delivery services), Channels (logical groupings), and Rules (event-to-channel mappings).
License Required: This tab only appears if your license includes the
notificationsfeature.

Providers Tab
Providers are the delivery mechanisms — the external services that actually send notifications. Currently only Telegram is fully supported.
Add / Edit Provider
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Display name for identification |
| Type | Telegram (active). Cannot be changed after creation. |
| Bot Token | The Telegram Bot API token. Obtain from @BotFather |
| Chat ID | The Telegram chat or group ID where messages will be sent |
| Whitelist | Comma-separated list of allowed Telegram user IDs |
| Enabled toggle | Whether this provider is active |
Use the 🧪 Test button on any provider card to send a test notification and verify it works.
Channels Tab
Channels are logical groupings that bundle one or more providers together. When a notification is sent to a channel, it’s delivered through all providers linked to that channel.
Note: System channels cannot be edited or deleted.
Add / Edit Channel
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Channel display name |
| Description | Optional description |
| Providers | Checklist of all available providers to link |
Rules Tab
Rules connect system events to channels. When an event occurs, the system checks if there’s an enabled rule and sends a notification through the assigned channel.
Available Events
| Event | Description |
|---|---|
PROGRAM_START | An automation program has started running |
PROGRAM_STOP | An automation program has stopped |
CRITICAL_ERROR | A critical system error has occurred |
DEVICE_OFFLINE | A hardware device has gone offline |
SYSTEM_STARTUP | The CeresFlows server has started |
Rule Configuration
Each event has its own card with:
- Enable/Disable switch — master toggle for this rule
- Channel dropdown — select which channel receives this notification
- Template — the message template with
{{variable}}placeholders for dynamic data
Tip: Templates support
{{variable}}syntax. Edit the template text and click Save to apply changes.
