Resources

The Resources module is the consumption accounting and inventory management system for your automation setup. It tracks how much of each physical resource — nutrients, water, pH correction solutions — your pumps and actuators have dispensed over time. It also lets you maintain a physical stock inventory so you always know how much is left and when to reorder.

Section 1 — Tracking Profiles

Each Tracking Profile card represents one resource you are monitoring — it could be a single pump (e.g., “pH+ Pump”) or a combination of actuators (e.g., “Nutrient Solution”).

Card Elements

ElementDescription
NameThe profile name
Total valueTotal amount dispensed in the selected period
Trend badge↑ +X% (green) / ↓ -X% (red) / → stable
SparklineSmall chart showing the consumption trend
⚙ SettingsAppears on hover — click to edit the profile

Clicking a card opens the Resource Detail View — a full breakdown with charts and event logs.

Create / Edit Tracking Profile

FieldDescription
NameA descriptive name (e.g., “pH+ Solution”, “Nutrient Mix A”). Required.
IconEmoji icon to visually identify the profile
UnitBase measurement unit (e.g., ml, L). Locked after creation.
Stock SourceOptional link to a Stock Source. Locked after creation.
Sources (Device list)Actuators whose logged activity counts toward this profile

Unit is locked after creation. Changing units after data exists would make historical records invalid.

Section 2 — Stock Inventory

Tracks your physical supplies — bottles, containers, or reservoirs that hold the resources your pumps consume.

Stock Profile Card

ElementDescription
Days Left badgeEstimated days until this stock runs out. Green = plenty, yellow = running low, red = critical
RemainingCurrent remaining quantity (total supplied minus total consumed)
Progress barVisual representation of remaining vs. total supplied
SuppliedTotal cumulative amount refilled
ConsumedTotal cumulative amount used by linked tracking profiles

+ Refill — quickly log a new refill event from the card header.

Add Refill Dialog

FieldDescription
AmountHow much was added. Required; must be > 0
UnitCompatible units (converted to base unit automatically)
DateWhen the refill occurred. Defaults to today. Can be backdated.
NoteOptional note (e.g., “New 5L bottle”)
PriceOptional cost for financial tracking

Section 3 — Runtime Summary

A compact summary showing total device runtime across all actuators for the selected period.

ElementDescription
Total RuntimeCombined active time of all devices (e.g., “3h 27m”)
Device CountNumber of unique devices that logged activity
View AnalysisOpens the full Runtime Detail View

Resource Detail View

Opened by clicking any Tracking Profile card.

Summary KPI Cards

CardDescription
Total ConsumptionGrand total dispensed in the selected period
Average DailyAverage consumption per day
Peak DayThe day with the highest single-day consumption
Est. Days LeftOnly shown if linked to a stock source — how many days remain at current rate

Consumption Profile Chart

Area chart showing consumption over time. X axis adapts format based on the time range.

Event History Table

ColumnDescription
Date & TimeExact timestamp of the event
WindowThe time window during which this event occurred
Device / ActuatorThe physical device that performed the action
DurationHow long the actuator was active
Amount ConsumedVolume dispensed in this event

Runtime Detail View

Per-device breakdown of how long each actuator ran and its estimated energy consumption.

  • Enter Watts per device to see estimated kWh for the period
  • Pie chart — proportional share of total runtime per device
  • Bar chart — runtime per device for direct comparison

Key Concepts

ConceptMeaning
Tracking ProfileA logical grouping of actuators whose combined consumption you track
Stock SourceA physical container that gets depleted as the linked profile consumes
RefillA recorded replenishment event
Days LeftEstimated based on average daily consumption and current remaining quantity
Unit lockOnce created, the unit cannot be changed. Display units (from Settings) are separate from storage units
